Beach conditions in Hawaiʻi can vary throughout the year due to weather, surf, currents, and tides, so shoreline size and accessibility may change during your stay.
Due to Maui’s rural environment, you may encounter occasional wildlife such as roosters and small geckos. Geckos are harmless, help control insects, and are considered a symbol of good luck in Hawaiʻi—please do not harm them.
While regular professional pest control is conducted, the tropical climate means that insects such as ants, roaches, and occasional rodents cannot be entirely eliminated. If you experience pest activity beyond what is typically expected, we will make every reasonable effort to coordinate and to address the issue. However, the presence of pests, inside or outside the estate, does not constitute a breach of this Agreement or qualify for any refund or rental adjustment.
SURROUNDINGS & UTILITIES:
We cannot guarantee that neighboring properties will be free from disturbances, including but not limited to noise from construction, traffic, or other residents and guests. Such occurrences do not constitute a breach of this Agreement or entitle guests to refunds or adjustments.
By booking your stay, you acknowledge that the Host is not liable for inconveniences caused by temporary interruptions or failures of utilities or services—including water, electricity, air conditioning, or plumbing—when such issues are beyond the Host’s control.
The Host is also not responsible for loss or damage to personal property due to weather, natural events, or other unforeseen circumstances. Additionally, cable and internet service in the unit may occasionally be unreliable; interruptions in these services do not qualify for refunds or rental adjustments.
While we strive to keep all photos up to date, there may be new and updated pieces of furniture or decor that are different than in the original pictures. The functionality, available seating, and sleeping space will remain the same or may improve.

RAINBOW HALE ESTATE RENTAL HOUSE RULES
1. Quiet hours are from 9:00 pm to 8:00 am, during which time the noise shall not unnecessarily disturb neighbors. Audible sound beyond Property boundaries during non-quiet hours shall not be more excessive than would otherwise be associated with a residential area.
2. Vehicles shall be parked in designated on-site parking areas only and shall not be parked on the street.
3. No parties or group gatherings other than registered guests shall occur.
4. Maximum number of registered guests is not to exceed 8.
5. Smoking is NOT allowed in the house or garage on the Property. Smoking is allowed outdoors, 20 feet away from the house/garage on the Property and Guest must extinguish tobacco products properly.
6. People other than those in the Guest Party set forth above may not stay overnight in the Property. Any other person in the Property is the sole responsibility of the Guest.
7. Keep the Property and all furnishings in good order.
8. Only use appliances for their intended uses.
9. Pets are NOT allowed.
10. Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the Property, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. Beach towels are available in the Property for use outside by the pool or at the beach.
11. Pool/Spa: Please use common sense when using the pool and spa. When using the pool and spa, remember there is a certain health risk associated with this facility. Use at your own risk.
12. The Coffee Berry Borer Beetle is a pest that is very damaging to coffee plantations. The Beetle is a hitchhiker and can travel on one's shoes and clothing. So far, the Kaanapali Coffee Farms have been able to avoid infestation with careful safeguarding. In the interest and preservation of our coffee farm, we respectfully ask if you visit a farm or agricultural area during your time on Maui or neighboring islands, that you bag your clothing and shoes prior to returning to the Kaanapali Coffee Farms and immediately wash them. We truly appreciate your assistance in keeping our crops healthy.

The house was absolutely gorgeous. It was clean, spacious, and extremely comfortable. The outdoor area was amazing and we ate nearly every meal out on the deck overlooking the ocean. The appearance (interior and exterior) of the home is exquisite! My family loved the decks and pool! We appreciated the availability of the pool towels and beach chairs! The pickleball Ct. was fabulous!! Kimberly, the property manager was wonderful, getting us blankets & a decent fry pan...I think the kitchen description of a "culinary delight" was a bit of an over stretch! The exterior of this home was beautiful and much appreciated... However, The beds were TERRIBLE! My husband and I bashed our legs on the side rails of the master bed constantly and what is up with the mirrored headboard where your pillow falls routinely off the mattress! All of the beds are old and way too firm! Luckily, I had a topper sent ahead of time just in case which helped me personally, but the rest of my family had terrible sleeps! I had to call our property. manager the first night to request a blanket for the master! The pull out sofa in the den is awful...springs poking into your ribs! Also, the 26 year old refrigerator with no working ice maker??? With the cost of this rental there should be a working ice maker! We have family that have a home in the coffee farms and I just expected a bit more updated kitchen and cozy beds!! For those reasons, we would not rent this home again! The bathrooms were very nice. Sorry, but beds MATTER!!!

Our family and grandchildren loved this property! We all play pickleball and the court is such a wonderful amenity that we used every day. The views from every room in the home are spectacular, along with the pool area. Well stocked with pool toys, towels, and games for the grandkids. We have stayed at this property 8 times and consider it our “home” in Maui. The home is always in excellent condition, well supplied and appointed. It is beautiful indoors and outside. The neighborhood is quiet and secluded. The view of the ocean and neighboring islands is unobstructed. Whale watching is easy from the house and poolside. The outdoor grilling area and pickle ball court allow us to spend our entire vacation at the home. Everything we need in a lovely vacation home is here. The property was everything that we had hoped for and more. Conveniently located above the Kaanapali beaches with views across to Lanaii and Molokai. The property has a wonderful infinity pool and a pickleball court so even when you stay home there is plenty to do and keep the family busy.
The management company did a great job before and during our rental if any issues came up. We were there over Christmas and the put up a Christmas Tree for us and also added an extra blow up mattress for our teenager.
We went whale watching, snorkeling, 4x4 off roading, went up Haleakala, did a distillery tour and tried glass modelling, so there is so much to do within easy distance, and so many great restaurants within a short drive. Recommend Mala Tavern for dinner (or brunch) and definitely Ulu Kitchen for brunch.

Didn’t think it was possible but Rainbow Hale was even more magnificent than the photos - the house and grounds are stunningly beautiful and well cared for - it’s well stocked, equipped (both inside and out with beach chairs and umbrella) and clean. Perfect for our adult family vacation. Best for up to 6 people using the 3 bedrooms as the sofa pullout in the library wasn’t the most comfortable. The pool and hot tub were great. The location is convenient - very close to amenities yet far enough away it was so quiet. The views of the ocean and sunsets were spectacular and also star gazing from the hot tub at night. Rainbow Hale was a wonderful way for our family to enjoy spending time with each other in luxurious comfort. The rental company was very responsive. Highly recommend.

Home setting stunning as expected. We first visited in 2018 and everything sparkled. This time, we felt the kitchen needed a deep clean especially the cabinets. The water pressure in the guest bathroom (closest to the pool) was very low and consistent temp control was hard to achieve. This same bathrooms sink has a small leak around stem when turned on. Small maintenance items easily corrected. Over all, we are happy we chose Rainbow Hale for our second visit.

Highly Recommend. The views are absolutely gorgeous, and the patio pool layout was perfect. We never wanted to leave the house. It had everything!!! We LOVED the sunsets and all the rainbows. It was well stocked with kitchen/grilling/pool floats/beach items. It was very spacious and allows each person to have their privacy to sleep without hearing what others are doing in the house. Our family of 8 stayed in the home in July 2023. The home was spacious and comfortable. The location was private and easy to get to many attractions. The home was well stocked. They provided games, paper towels, towels, hand soap, dish soap. We also really appreciated the beach towels, coolers, and chairs. I would have like to have some more general cleaning supplies in the home for use as well.
The home is beautiful and so is the scenery all around the property. I would recommend a very deep clean though. It was generally clean overall, but a lot of the dishes were dirty and there were some cobwebs. The one shower has some pink mold on the stone and the shower head had little water pressure. The appliances could use a good scrubbing. Again, it was acceptable, just time for some routine deep cleaning expected with a rental home.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this home and made very special memories. The children loved the pool. It did not need to be heated during our stay in July. We enjoyed a massage on the Lanai. The outdoor kitchen and grill was clean and worked great. Almost daily we witnessed rainbows and beautiful sunsets. We feel so lucky and blessed to have been give. The opportunity to stay in the home. We will remember our stay for all our lives.

Our family of four had such a great time at the Rainbow Hale Estate. The property is in the perfect location, away from all the tourists areas, but less than a five minute drive to the big beaches. The kids loved the pool time. I suggest paying to have the pool heated. The house is in great feels brand new.
The hosts were especially accommodating. We arrived late at night and there was a low battery in the alarm system causing the system to beep. They sent manager over at midnight to fix the problem. On our checkout day, I messed up the safe and they had a locksmith there within an hour to remedy the problem. Absolutely first class service from the hosts.
I highly recommend staying at the Rainbow Hale Estate. We plan to return!

We spent a little over three weeks here during the month of July. We found the home to be beautiful, wonderfully furnished, well appointed and comfortable. The pool area and view were spectacular, and where we spent most of our time during out stay. The location was perfect - easy access to both Lahaina and Kapalua for dining and golf. The only con, for us, was the cost to heat the pool, which we found necessary. It was quite cool, and in the winter months would be uncomfortable.

The overall experience was fantastic. From someone who has spent a lot of time in the Hawaiian islands, I can safely say that being slightly up country (instead of on the water) was far superior. The only words of caution are that there is a rather large fee for heating the pool that was not made clear when I rented through Luxury Retreats and the dryer did not work. Other than that, I would recommend this home to anyone.

From the moment we walked through the front doors, this house exceeded our expectations by far! Wow- words cannot describe the views, the beauty and the wonderful amenities this house has to offer. The house was spotless and immaculately clean and in pristine condition. We were spoiled here for our entire stay! The grounds are so pretty with the fruit trees, plumeria trees and coffee plants. Sitting by the pool and looking out to that ocean view never got old. Myra was fantastic with the few issues we had and couldn't have been any sweeter or more helpful. Thank you! I will miss having my morning coffee on the back porch with that beautiful view, but we will most definitely return to the stunningly beautiful Rainbow Hale in the future!

We recently stayed at Rainbow Hale for a Spring Break trip and it did not disappoint. This home is exquisitely decorated and furnished with every amenity you will ever need! It is a welcome retreat from the crowds at Kaanapali, yet very close as we were shuttling kids down to the beach to meet up with friends. The gourmet kitchen and grill made it so easy to dine in, especially when dining was not at full capacity in restaurants. Note - the Maui Fish Market is great for ready to grill fish, seasonings and marinades. There is a lovely, walk around the coffee farms with a panoramic view of the ocean. This home feels larger than it is and would easily accommodate up to 8 people very comfortably. The rainbows seem endless and we cannot wait to come back!

Having stayed at 6 different houses in West Maui, this is the best location and the best view! The house is incredibly well appointed and works effortlessly. The yard and rural setting are amazing, but the proximity to all the amenities of Lahaina and Kanapali is undeniable.
